"Fall-a-nize"

Jacket: Forever 21
Tank: Walmart
Shorts: Forever 21
Shoes: Charlotte Russe

Yep! I have been a bad little blogger. I must start by saying hello my fashionable people!! Long time no hear. So life as really gotten in my way of blogging. I must admit my passion for blogging has decreased, especially with having an Instagram account. I find myself being a lazy bum and just posting pictures on there. I know I know, bad little blogger. So I'm going to make more of an effort to post outfit posts! So over the summer I really started to enjoy wearing shorts. I rocked this shorts a while back and decided to "Fall-a-nize." What's "Fall-a-nize" its means rocking Summer clothing and transitioning  them into Fall wear. So I simply added a cropped jacket some closed toe shoes and voila!! Most items are from my favorite store Forever 21. I hope you enjoyed my look, and tell me how you plan on "Fall-a-nizing" your looks.

Sunshine...My only Sunshine.....

Dress/ Courtesy of SWAK Designs, Shoes/ shiehkshoes.com, Necklace and Clutch/Forever 21

Summer is here and lets just say it's full of sunshine. Everyone needs a little sunshine, don't you think?! Well sunshine always equals happiness for me. So let's just say I was beyond happy when I received my Eternity Convertible Dress from SWAK Designs. First off let me say SWAK Designs really melted my heart with this dress! I live for an amazing plus size convertible dress. I love SWAK Designs aesthetics when it comes to plus size clothing, and once again they did an amazing job with this dress.

I have other SWAK Designs pieces but I have to admit this is now my favorite piece.  This is a perfect plus size dress. The Eternity Convertible Dress has 14 beautiful ways to create looks just right for your body. I chose the color "Sunshine" and I wore my dress in the sexy and alluring "Maya Wrap." There is a wrap 101 video on how to easily style the Eternity Convertible Dress into different wraps. With this dress you really could go from a daytime look to an evening of dinner and dancing. There are so many styles to choose from based on your modesty level. So if you want to rock the Maya style as I did, but you aren't comfortable rocking a sleeveless look, just put on a beautiful kimono or shawl to complete your look. I was also very pleased that while living in the desert, at 105 degrees, the dress material was no too heavy. The material is very light weight but sturdy enough to make sure you have full coverage while styling the dress.

I certainly can't wait to rock my Eternity Convertible Dress again. Every woman has, no needs to own this dress. It's a staple item for every woman's, especially plus size women's, closet. So ladies or gentlemen looking for a great gift to get your lady shop at www.swakdesigns.com for this beautiful dress and many other SWAK pieces!

Hello Fashionistas! So I was recently contacted by Modcloth.com to style the use of the "The Vivacious and Vibrant Dress in Noir"  while using only Modcloth.com products from Polyvore.com. The dress would be the focal point of my style creations so I decided to transition the dress from day to night.

The daytime look was inspired by Minnie Mouse. By using the coloring scheme closely related to Minnie Mouse I was going for a playful look. The striped black purse was used to give it a whimsical element, and by adding the red flats made the look effortless chic and comfortable. I would use this look for running errands during the day while looking stylish and elegant.

The dress itself reads very Hollywood glamour so by transitioning the dress into a nighttime look was simple. I wanted to feature little blue hues centered around the accessories to give it a "Breakfast at Tiffany" look. I used minimal jewelry but wanted to showcase the dangle earring to give the look those pops of color. Add on some turquoise heel and some red lip stain and I could envision this look going to a cocktail dinner.

Uplifting Nighties...

Hello Fashion Dolls! I just wanted to come to you ladies (and men) about a product I was sent over a month ago from an amazing company called Uplifting Nighties. Now my first thought was what is an uplifting nighties? Well the Uplifting Nighties is a stylish and supportive sleepwear piece. It's transitional sleepwear that you can wear in front of your children, extended family, or husbands around the home with out the irritating feel of wearing a bra!

Now when I was contacted about trying out the Uplifting Nighties, I told the owner, Laura Byer, she had to be in my mind taking notes on my sleepwear issues. See what Uplifting Nighties created especially for plus size women is groundbreaking! I have longed to be comfortable in my own home wearing sleepwear that wouldn't be too vulgar but yet so supportive and covered enough that I could greet guests in my own home. And that is exactly what the Uplifting Nighties is!

My experience with the Uplifting Nightie has been pleasant. I received my order on April 1, 2014 and basically reviewed it for a month. First off the Uplifting Nighties is homegrown, yep, they are MADE IN THE USA! Every thing from the fabric to the manufacturing is made in the USA! I received my product very fast and it was packaged pretty nicely. ( As pictured below) I received the Short Cocktail in Black, size 2X.  Now when I first touched the Uplifting Nightie it feel like butter. The fabric is very soft and very durable which can be hard to mimic.  So the first thing I wanted to do was try it on. I first adjusted the straps and tried it on. It felt amazing!  My initial thought was I'm really going to enjoy this product. After washing the Uplifting Nightie, I noticed that it didn't lose its shape nor color which is fantastic.  The fabric is a winner! Even living in the desert the Uplifting Nightie  was still cool and didn't feel "clingy'' when it got warmer. I received great support with this product as well and mind you I wear a 44Fin bra size. I went to sleep in this piece. I did laundry in this piece. I cooked in this piece. I even walked outside to grab my son from the bus in this piece. Overall the Uplifting Nighties has been my go-to item when I'm relaxing around the house. I truly feel in love with this product and I think you ladies would too!

With Mother's Day approaching Uplifting Nighties has offered my readers and subscribers with a discount! Use the code WELOVEMOMS for a 15% discount through May 19th.
So ladies rethink how you wear your sleepwear and please go check out Uplifting Nighties!

Hello Queens and Kings! So let me clear the air, did you miss me? Well I certainly miss blogging. I have to admit, Instagram has become the Devil for lazy bloggers like me! It is so easy to just take an outfit picture and post on Instagram and go about my business. But with blogging you have to think of content, take multiple pictures, and write! So sometimes I take the easy road and rely on Instagram, so please forgive me. Now if you follow me on Instagram, @big_bonedbeauty, these photos might look familiar. I have recently posted these outfits within a few weeks on my Instagram. I don't know about you fashionistas, but I have been living in colors! I mean from bright oranges, to neon pinks, and yellows, I want it all!! I know that Forever 21 has basically taken my wallet because mostly all my items have been from there. They really have been bringing out fabulous colors and bold prints! So question of the day which look is your favorite and what are some trends you will be rocking for spring/summer?

SWAK Designs Denim...

Jacket/ Forever21, Shirt/ Dots/ Jeans/ Courtesy of SWAK Designs, Shoes/ www.charlotterusse.com, Necklace/ Topshop

Hey Girls and Guys! Hope everyone is ready for spring. I know I' am. For this post I was send some amazing denim jeans from SWAK Designs. SWAK launched its denim collection this year and they did a really good job with these jeans. They are soft, durable, and comfortable. These are the types of jeans that you could wear out to eat without having to unbutton them because you eat too much. To checkout SWAK Designs denim, visit their website at www.swakdesigns.com! I have been buying up bright and neon clothes lately. I have been needing more color. So with the rest of this outfit I styled it with a neon orange blazer from Forever 21 that I got on sale for $3.99!! SCORE!!! Then I added my bright neon pink wedge sandals that I got from Charlotte Russe. It was indeed a bright and colorful day.

Thunderthighs and Legs...

Romper/ Forever 21, Jacket/ Forever 21, Clutch/ Forever 21, Necklace/ Forever 21, Shoes/ Charlotte Russe

It was Sunday Night and I wanted to go to happy hour. Now when I was going through my closet I could have easily put on a sexy dress, but last night I dared to try something different. I wore shorts!. Now I know I'm always talking about being confident and wearing whatever your heart desires, but I wasn't being honest. See I stopped wearing shorts ever since my thunderthighs started to close in together. I mean I wanted the thigh gap. Well not the bad photoshopped one from Target's website, LOL! I just wasn't that secure in wearing shorts. Well I'm going to represent for my BBB's I told myself." Say it loud I have thunderthighs, and I'm proud," as I chanted to myself.  I get so many questions on "how do you rock things that aren't normally for plus size women" or "where do you get your confidence from?" Well I'm here to tell you, I'm human and of course I have my insecurities, but dammit no one lives for me, and I only have one life. So if I choose to rock my short shorts and gets stares because I'm a fat chick, OH WELL!

Hello Guys and Girls! I hope everyone is well and happy that spring is almost here. I must admit the weather in Las Vegas have been awesome. I mean it's expected in the desert. Now ask me how's the weather in June and July and I might not be so pleased! So on Friday I had parent teacher conference for both of my children and I had to attend a workshop. Now everything I wore was from Forever 21, shocking, I know, LOL. Forever 21 has been giving me so much LIFE these last few weeks. I mean I was already a Forever 21 junkie, now I think my addiction will never be solved. The interesting thing is every single item was under $15. SCORE!! From the shoes, to the purse, to the top, all under 15 bucks!. I'm going to add another SCORE just for that!! I hope you stay tuned for more of my looks and if you haven't  go follow my Instagram at @big_bonedbeauty. Smooches!

It's Friday, and I wore this little look. I posted it up on Instagram and wasn't going to blog it but hey what the heck, I look hot. My mom commented that I look like a school girl in high school. Sealed With A Kiss Outfit No.2

Jacket/ Forever 21, Cami Top/ Courtesy of SWAK Designs, Skirt/ Dots, Belt/ ASOS, Shoes/ Charlotte Russe, Bag/ Forever 21

Yesterday was a cool day. I had a job interview and this is what I decided to wear. As I mentioned in my previous post I received some fabulous goodies from SWAK Designs. This beautiful cami top was another one of my items I received. The Pretty Cami is another one of SWAK's universal and "all around" garments. The cami is a beautiful purple (they also come in colors:bone, pumpkin, and brown) and it is so light and flowy! This is going to be my go to top especially for warmer Vegas days! I wore the cami with a clinched belt around my waist from ASOS, a cute little jacket from Forever 21, and just a black pencil skirt from DOTS. I felt like this was a perfect outfit for my interview. Just alone on my outfit I think I deserve the job, don't you?

Sealed With A Kiss Outfit No.1

Dress/ Courtesy of SWAK Designs, Vest/ Forever 21, Boots/ Forever 21, Purse/ Thrifted, Necklace/ It's Fashion

It was a beautiful day out in Las Vegas! Sorry I can't say the same for much of the East Coast, YIKES SNOW! Keep warm! Now I feel a little bad wearing a sleeveless tank dress, but hey that's one of the perks when I moved to Vegas, beautiful weather!  Now I was sent some amazing items from SWAK Designs about a month ago. This beautiful Kayla Tank Dress in Charcoal was one of the items. I decided to pull it out and rock it. The one thing I love about the Kayla Tank Dress is that it is so comfortable and versatile. You can dress it up, layer it, dress it down, or even lounge in it! It really is an "all- around" dress that every woman should have in her closet. I wore this SWAK Designs dress in it's natural form, sleeveless, and paired it with a zipper detailed vest, from Forever 21.  I added my layered chain necklace and my comfortable boots to finish off the look. Now did I rock it or what!!

First off I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I pray that your Christmas was filled with food, family, love, and happiness! Can you believe that the year is almost over? This year has flown on by. I hope that I have entertained you with some fabulous outfits and hopefully I inspired a lot of my BBB's to step out of their fashion comfort zones! I wanted to leave this year with breaking the rules again. Over a year ago, I started this blog with wearing a crop top ( see here) so it was only fitting to leave this year with another crop top. I hope to see next year and bring you some more of my Big Boned Style!

Boots are for Walking....

Shirt/Skirt/ Jacket/ Boots/Purse/ All Forever 21 Necklace/ Its Fashion

Hey Guys!! Miss me? Well I have certainly missed you guys. I hope you liked my last post about "Blogging with Skeletons in your Closet!" I got some great feedback mostly from emails. I know most were probably thinking, um we want to see CLOTHES! Well here you go! I wore this actually on Saturday. I went to the Vegas Strip to do some shopping. BIG MISTAKE! It was too crowded. I realize now that I have a phobia of shopping. I would prefer to shop online. Crazy right! The problem with shopping online is you might pick up the wrong size and have to send things back. For instance these fabulous boots I'm wearing are from Forever 21. Normally I wear a size 10 in shoes but in boots an 11. So I ordered the boots in an 11 and they were too small. Unfortunately, I can't even send them back due to Forever 21 crazy exchange and return policy. So I will be giving away the boots to a lucky reader and subscriber!!! Keep up with me on Instagram  (@big_bonedbeauty )and my blog for more information on the giveaway!!  The entire outfit is from Forever 21. The jacket I got on sale during black Friday deals was $10 bucks. The purse was 50% off and I got it for $13 bucks. Great deals right! Well I hope you like the look.
 XOXO
Keisha

P.S. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram (@big_bonedbeauty)  and my Blog for a chance to win these FABULOUS BOOTS. Information on the giveaway will be soon!!

Blogging with Skeletons in Your Closet.....

Hey readers and subscribers! Happy Holidays! So today I wanted to blog a little different. No outfit post no pictures, just my thoughts and words. I was talking to a friend recently and she mentioned to me that she couldn't see herself being a blogger. I asked why she felt that way, and she simply stated " Girl I did to many things in my past to be parading around on the Internet. Someone might recognize me."

Its funny because when those words left her mouth I remember my body started to process my own fear. My hands started to sweat and my throat got dry due to memories of my past flashing before my eyes. Never in a million years have I thought of the repercussions of my past affecting blogging. It wasn't even a thought! I just wanted to blog and show-case my sense of style. But after my friend said that I started to wonder, do other bloggers have this same fear? You know the fear of an ex trying to "expose" you, or the gripping truth of  "the other woman" posing as a subscriber. And a bitter ex friend who knows all your secrets and has a platform to reveal them. I know a majority of bloggers get some hate from Instagram, Facebook, or Tumblr, but how do you process that hate when there is someone who tries to demise your character with things from your past?

So far my blogging experience has been pleasant. Since I'm working from a smaller platform of viewers and readers the coast has been clear from trolls, scrubs, and Internet thugs. Oh but do trust that there never goes a day when I check my emails or read comments that I don't get anxiety about someone dissing me or write a dissertation of when I hook up with an ex from 10 years ago. Although I'm not much of fan, I couldn't imagine what it was like for Kim Kardashian  to have an actually porn tape and still try to build a brand. So I want to know your thoughts on the subject, especially from fellow bloggers. Do you have fear of expanding your blog due to skeletons in your closet? Have you ever been confronted with a viewer who tried to expose you? How would you handle if someone tried to expose you on your blog, Instagram, or Facebook?

Men's Wear Outfit # 3

Men's Cardigan/ H&M, Men's Shirt/ Old Navy, Skirt/ Forever 21, Shoes/ Charlotte Russe, Purse/ Forever 21, Legging/ JMS, Chain/ Charlotte Russe

Okay today is my last Men's Wear Outfit! I appreciate all of you who have visited or even left a comment. I really thank you guys!! Now since it's my last outfit for this series I decided to go a little bit more dramatic. I wore a man's cardigan from H&M and a white linen shirt from Old Navy. Once again ladies I took only a few pieces from a man's wardrobe and to made it my own! Now the show stopper was my fabulous sequined skirt from Forever 21! This will forever be one of my favorite purchases from them! This whole look could be worn for any occasion! Simply by adding or removing pieces from this look you can go to daytime or nighttime in an instance! My whole purpose of this series was to show you that you can take simply pieces from your man's closet and make it your own. Now all you have to do is avoid hearing your man now complain about his missing shirt! I hope you ladies got inspired and please come back for more of my outfits!!!

Men's Wear Outfit #2....

Trench Coat/ Old Navy, Men's Shirt/ Old Navy, Skirt/ Forever 21, Shoes/ Charlotte Russe, Purse/ Thrifted

Hello Ladies! And welcome back to my Men's Wear Series!! This outfit consist of a man's printed shirt! You might remember this shirt from my post labeled " Lumber Jill" . I decided to revamp the look by using the same shirt ,my nice army green pencil skirt from Forever 21, and my trench coat from Old Navy! This outfit would be perfect for an office look! Now when it comes to wearing your husbands skirt you can wear it as I did as a shirt or if it's to big you can simply add a belt to create a nice skirt dress! Also remember the fun in wearing their clothes is to take pieces of their wardrobe and incorporate them into your outfit. It's not to wear everything from head to toe from your man's closet. With that said tomorrow will be my last post from my Men's Wear Series so please come back and comment on your thoughts of wearing your man's clothes!!

Men's Wear Outfit # 1....

Husband's Sweater/ Old Navy, Shirt/ Walmart, Jeans/ Forever 21, Shoes/ Charlotte Russe, Clutch/ Forever 21, Sunnies/ Forever 21, Necklaces/ Claire's

Ladies I wanted to come up with another fun way to stretch your closet and your dollars! Now I wanted to get creative by wearing clothes from a man's closet. Yep... I wear men's clothes! I know some of you women aren't BBB's (Big Boned Beauties) so I still think there are ways for you to turn your man's clothes into something wearable for you too!! My first outfit I decided to take a man's sweater that I got from Old Navy and pair it with some jeans and a nice buttoned up shirt underneath the sweater. I added a couple of pearl necklaces to add to my preppy casual outfit. Now ladies, I understand not everyone can fit their man's clothes but take what I did for instance, I wore a sweater as a top. Now if the clothes are way larger than you use his sweater as a dress! Just add some legging to make it like a tunic or if it's really big wear his sweater and add some thigh high boots to it!! So ladies get inspire and let's play dress with or men's clothes!! Hope to see you tomorrow I have another Men's Wear Outfit!!
